Icabad Crane visited by his breeder

Mrs. Marlene Brody of Gallagher’s Stud in Ghent, NY paid a visit to Icabad Crane at Phillip Dutton’s True Prospect Farm in West Grove, Pa., last Thursday morning. Accompanying her was her farm manager, Mallory Mort.  Gallagher’s Stud owned Icabad’s dam Adorahy, his granddam Adorable Micol, and his great-granddam Turn To Me. Mrs. Brody shared that Turn To Me was actually purchased by Gallagher’s Stud on the advisement of Graham’s father, renowned bloodstock agent Michael Motion.

Icabad and Phillip treated Mrs. Brody and Mr. Mort to a wonderful presentation on what was a perfect spring morning.

“Who would have thought?” Mrs. Brody said as she watched the pair schooling over fences in preparation for the MCTA Horse Trials at Shawan Downs in Maryland this past weekend. And we are thrilled to report that Icabad and Phillip won the Open Preliminary division!

Disappointed not to have remembered carrots, Mrs. Brody mentioned as we left that she had instead given Icabad “plenty of kisses.”
