How did you become involved with horses?
Riding ponies at 9-10 years old. I went to school with the son of Captain Forster’s head lad, and he started me off.

What was your first racing-related job?
I worked after school for Nobby Graham when I was 11 years old, mucking, grooming, etc., and then progressed to riding. Then worked for John Dunlop, Goodwood Apprentice School, and Captain T.A. Forster.

What is your favorite racing memory? Not in any specific order, but Bernie Bond’s last winner and Graham’s first winner, Bounding Daisy. Winning the 1985 Grand National with Last Suspect. The 2011 Kentucky Derby and the 2013 Dubai World Cup with Animal Kingdom.
