How long have you worked for Herringswell Stables?  I just started working for Team Herringswell in June of 2017. However, I’m lucky enough to say that my family has been friends with the Motions for a very long time!

How did you become involved with horses?  I’ve been around horses since even before I was born. My mom was an active jockey in the late-80s and early-90s and so I think she even might have a win photo where she was pregnant with me! So you could say I’ve been hooked from the start.

What was your first racing-related job? Having grown up in 4-H, Pony Club and doing Hunters/Eventing, I’ve always been around horses. But my first real racing-related job came during the summers of middle school and high school when I would work as a hot-walker/exercise rider for my parents at the Fair Hill Equine Therapy Center.

What is your favorite racing memory?  For fun, my mom and I like to go to all of the big race days around the country (and overseas!) so I think anytime we get to enjoy a day of top-class racing is a favorite for me. Just being there with the atmosphere is absolutely incredible.

Any other fond memories? Two actually! The first being that I was able to travel to Royal Ascot with Graham and Anita to watch Miss Temple City run. The whole spectacle and pageantry of Ascot is something that I hope every racing fan gets to experience at some point! The other was when Animal Kingdom won the Dubai World Cup. I was at college watching the race and I remember mid-way through the turn, he pricked his ears and started to run away from the pack, looking like he was having the best time. I thinking I even started to tear up watching this awesome horse win the world’s richest race ALL while having fun doing it!
