A First-Out Win For Nymph

It was a smashing debut today for NYMPH, who turned in a very gutsy performance to win going 5 1/2 furlongs on the main track at Delaware Park. Jockey Angel Suarez gave her a stellar ride, keeping her to task around the turn before hooking up with leader Liscolvin at the top of the lane. The pair head-bobbed all the way down the stretch before Nymph finally passed her very determined foe to get under the wire a head in front.

Owners Leverett S. Miller and his daughter, Penelope, have been extremely patient with this 3-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Dominus out of the D’Wildcat mare C D’Cat, and we know this was a very special win for them.  They were tuned into the race from their home in Florida, where Penelope said “We watched in the living room and put all of the pets into hiding…..I have a sore throat from screaming so much!!”

Congratulations to the very happy Miller family!
