After running fifth in her first Stakes debut just over a month ago at Laurel Park, Almond Roca tried again at Tampa today and proved far the best to win by nine and and quarter lengths in the Sandpiper Stakes.  Bred to sprint by Speightstown out of a Holy Bull mare it was a lovely Christmas present for Chadds Ford Stable, congratulations!
