She made her debut just four weeks ago at Del Mar, and today ANCIENT PEACE (ON) ended her freshman campaign with a win in a maiden special weight at Santa Anita. She “took control early while keen” under Juan Hernandez, and the pair led at every pole. She extended her lead in deep stretch, pulling away to win by 4 1/4 lengths.

Sam-Son Farm bred the daughter of War Front – Deceptive Vision, by A.P. Indy. Deceptive Vision was a multiple graded stakes winner for Sam-Son, with scores in Woodbine’s Canadian Stakes-G2 in 2014 and the 2015 Hilliard Lyons Doubledogdare Stakes-G3 at Keeneland.

Sam-Son consigned Ancient Peace to the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling Sale in 2021, where she was purchased for $180,000 by Mike Ryan. She carried Ryan’s colors in her victory today. Congratulations to him on his filly’s maiden-breaking win!
