Another Graded Stake for Mission of Joy (ON)

She earned her first graded stakes win in the Florida Oaks-G3 at Tampa Bay Downs on March 11. Today, MISSION OF JOY (ON) added a bit more shine to her already-impressive resume with a decisive score in the Regret Stakes-G3 at Churchill Downs.

Her last start was there in Louisville on Kentucky Oaks Day in the Edgewood Stakes Presented by Forcht Bank-G2; she finished third, earning a career high speed figure of 101.

Tyler Gaffalione was aboard the 3-year-old Kitten’s Joy filly for the first time today. The chart caller was inspired writing this one, saying Mission of Joy (ON) “muscled her way outside of the leader while bumping an outer Girl Named Charlie in upper stretch, offered a bold bid while menacing well…..kicked clear at the furlong grounds and safely fended off an inner bidder through the late stages” to win by 1 1/2 lengths.

Out of Smart Mission (by Smart Strike), Mission of Joy (ON) was bred in Canada by industry leaders Sam-Son Farm. She continues to prove that Ryan Zabrowksi of RyZan Sun Racing, LLC got a brilliant deal when the hammer fell at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall Yearling Sale for $32,000 in 2021. RyZan Sun remains her majority owner, now in partnership with Madaket Stables LLC.

Graham was on hand at Churchill for the photo. Congratulations to all of them on another great win today!
