Back-to-Back Wins for Hardspun Reason

You know how much we love winning in Maryland with a Maryland-(home)bred! Hardspun Reason made it two in a row Thursday afternoon with another allowance score at Laurel Park. Jorge Ruiz was on board for this one going 1 1/8 miles on the grass.

The pair enjoyed a trouble-free trip, comfortably off the pace down the backstretch before making their move at the top of the stretch and clearing the field to “power away,” as the chart states. The winning margin was 3 3/4 lengths.

This makes career win number three for the 4-year-old Hard Spun gelding and brings his earnings to $110,265.

Hats off again to his breeder/owners Sycamore Hall Thoroughbreds, LLC and Mrs. Ellen Charles’ Hillwood Stable LLC!
