Robert S. Evans’ homebred BLESS HER earned her second win at Colonial Downs on Sunday, July 5.  Jeiron Barbosa was in the tack for the 1 3/16 miles allowance on Colonial’s outer turf course.

“Bless Her was well rated along the inside and steadied briefly entering the far turn by the three furlong marker and then moved out to make a three-wide leaving the turn and went clear leaving the furlong marker and widened the margin to prove best under a drive.”

The 3-year-old filly is by Twirling Candy out of Irish Mission (by Giant’s Causeway). Irish Mission was a multiple graded stakes winner of $1,357,073. She earned Canada’s Sovereign Award in 2012 as both Champion 3-Year-Old Filly and Champion Grass Mare. Bless Her broke her maiden at Gulfstream Park on February 6.
