Toby’s Corner

As previously mentioned Toby’s Corner has retired and gone to Japan.  This is in today’s Racing Form.  Good luck Toby.  We miss you. Toby’s Corner to stand in Japan

Sea Of Laughter

I’ve always thought that was a lovely name.  This was her first run in the US and the first time she’d experienced firm ground.  Obviously that’s what she liked as she floated across it today.  Congratulations to owners and breeders, Flaxman Holdings Limited.

Rusty Slipper

She certainly didn’t run like a rusty slipper!  We’re still getting used to her name as Mr. Meahjohn wanted to take his time to think about a name, so up until recently she was known in the barn as ‘Classic Approval’, her dams name!  This was her first start and she was drawn on the outside […]

This Is definitely How!

Stretching out to one mile from her previous winning distance of six furlongs This Is How gave a definitive demonstration on how it should be done.  Sit behind the leader and go by them in the stretch!  Congratulations to Live Oak Plantation, owners and breeders.

Have to be pleased

I know it’s good to have winners but I think we have to be happy with the runs of Lucky Chappy and Summer Soiree who were both third in their Grade I races at Hollywood Park this afternoon.  The was ‘Chappy’s’ first Grade I Stake place, and ‘Summer’ ran her usual front running race (where […]

Last one a winner

Our last runner at this years Churchill meet was Appealing Cat and she made it a winning one.  Ridden by Joe Rocco, Jr. he waited patiently as she was rather eager!  Joe has a very good record for us and long will it continue.  Congratulations to George Strawbridge, Jr.

Pulpitarian first – at last!

He won his third race today at Laurel.  He’s had seconditis so many times, it was a relief!  Congratulations to Pin Oak Stud.

Logan helping

General Logan loves to ‘help’……raking outside his stall at Hollywood Park.  He is also out there for the Grade I Hollywood Derby.

Hollywood Park

Lucky Chappy and Summer Soiree enjoying a pick of the Hollywood Park grass.  Summer Soiree is out there to move up a spot from last years second place in the Grade I Matriarch, and Lucky Chappy runs in the Hollywood Derby (Grade I).   […]

Le Fascinator

By the same sire as the smart Howe Great (Hat Trick, JPN), Le Fascinator broke her maiden on her first try today.  They went pretty fast but she circled her field to win going away.  Congratulations to Brett Jones and Gatewood Bell.
