First time starter and a home bred for Linda Merritt, Fast Draw Kid won in hand at Presque Isle last night on the Tapeta. By Last Gunfighter Fast Draw Kid hits the top of the list for the highest earner for this young sire who died too young. Congratulations to Linda Merritt.
News
Good day overall!
Yesterday was a good day. We had 9 runners and from them we had 2 winners and 4 seconds. Not too shabby and congratulations to all owners and thanks to the hard working staff who helped get them ready to go!
Red Storm Risen
To cap off a good day Red Storm Risen broke his maiden in his win at Woodbine. Always been knocking at the door he has gradually matured and been given plenty of time. Congratulations to owners and breeders Sam Son Farm.
Oyster Box
Oyster Box made her debut start today at Belmont a winning one. Not sure how the name came about but we really like it and she only got it in time a couple of weeks ago! Congratulations to owner Gainesway Farm (Antony Beck).
Blame Debbie
Poor Blame Debbie has been blamed for a couple of things in her last two starts but she couldn’t be blamed for anything today and won nicely and in a straight line! This was the third time that Joel Rosario had ridden her and he rode her very patiently. Congratulations to owners Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, […]
Candy Flower
Candy for Candy Flower when she gets home! After a good lay-off she’s come back in fine form this year and made it even better by winning her race at Belmont this afternoon, leading from start to finish. Congratulations to owner and breeder Albert Frassetto. Special for us too as Graham trained her Mother, […]
Betcha By Golly
Someone liked the ‘off the turf’ Pimlico track today. Her race record now reads, 3,2,1, all on the dirt in the end. Bred by owners Dark Hollow Farm she is owned by owners Skeedattle Associates who have always been major Maryland racing supporters. Congratulations to them.
First Time Starter Batyah Prevails
A Fasig Tipton Two Year Old In Training May purchase this year paid off quite handsomely today when Batyah ran a professional first race at Belmont circling the field to win by a comfortable two and quarter lengths. Congratulations to owner Earle Mack. Photo taken following morning at Belmont by Alice Clapham
Sharing Comes Back In Style
Phew, I think I speak for everyone that they can now breathe! It’s been a while since Sharing came back from putting up such a great performance at Ascot in June and you often wonder about the ‘bounce’ they talk about. She ‘bounced’ back to win the Grade 2 Edgewood Stakes at Churchill this afternoon, […]
Bye Bye Melvin Wins First Graded Stake
Mean Mary’s baby brother Bye Bye Melvin won the Grade 3 Saranac Stakes at Saratoga this afternoon, almost a week since Mean Mary herself almost won her first Grade 1 there. This was the first time he’d encountered a soft turf course so nobody really knew if he’d like it. Last time out he was […]
