Cherokee Queen

Won at Gulfstream in a competitive allowance race this afternoon. It was a well deserved result, especially as she just missed in her previous effort in exactly the same kind of race after being caught in traffic. It was also Jeremy Rose’s 2,000 winner so that was rather fitting! Congratulations to him and also to Mr. Mack Robinson the owner and breeder of Cherokee Queen.

Mr. Robinson’s other runner, Cherokee Raider (one of three runners he has today) came second at Laurel and was then placed third as he brushed with a horse five furlongs out! I’m not quite sure how that would {jcomments on}make that much of a difference as the race was only seven furlongs long and the horse he brushed with finished two and a quarter lengths behind him!!!
