First time starter four year old Diamond Ring overcame a stumble at the start and coming wide with a late run to get up at the wire.  By Malibu Moon out of a Mt. Livermore mare (very old classic breeding) she will probably benefit down the road on the grass so this was a welcome beginning.  She is also a half sister to a stakes winning filly Graham trained called Initiation, who herself was dam to one of our favorites Forward Thinker.  Congratulations to owner and breeder Peter Blum.
