Diamondsifyoudo Makes It A Double

Closer to home, DIAMONDSIFYOUDO gave us our second win of the afternoon with her own maiden-breaker at Laurel Park. She debuted at Keeneland in October, finishing second in a maiden special. Next out was Laurel’s Smart Halo Stakes on November 12, where she was fourth.

Sent off today as the 1-5 favorite, she gave jockey Jevian Toledo his third victory on the card. The pair held off the very tenacious Princess Cairo and survived an objection lodged by her rider. The two fillies really slugged it out all the way to the wire, with Diamondsifyoudo refusing to allow her foe to get there first and winning by a head.

Diamondsifyoudo was bred in Kentucky by Keene Ridge Racing, LLC. She is by Kentucky Derby and Eclipse Champion Nyquist out of the stakes winning Street Cry (IRE) mare Financial Recovery. Congrats to her owners, Glenangus Farm LLC!
