Both Ring Weekend and Kitten’s Point won their races at Gulfstream. Both had horrible post positions (Ring Weekend #10 and Kitten’s Point #9). Ring Weekend was second in his first start off the lay-off which set him up nicely for today’s win. He’s rather versatile, running well on all surfaces, dirt (which it was today), turf and synthetic. Kitten’s Point was running first time off a lay-off having not run since the April Keeneland meet where she was third in the Ashland Stakes (Grade 1). Congratulations to both owners, West Point Thoroughbreds and George Strawbridge, Jr.
