Dynamic Holiday

I’m afraid I’ve cheated here a little as I got home and already there are articles on the Thoroughbred Daily News website about Silver Reunion’s good win in the Grade III Endeavour Stakes, and also Dynamic Holiday’s wonderful second stakes win in the Florida Oaks, both at Tampa.dynamicholiday-eq

Dynamic Holiday, a homebred from George Strawbridge Jr.’s Augustin Stable, found clear sailing down the lane and drove smartly past the leaders to secure her second stakes victory in the $105,000 Florida Oaks on Saturday at Tampa Bay Downs.

With 2010 Eclipse Award winning jockey Ramon Dominguez in the irons, the three-year-old Harlan’s Holidayfilly raced fifth, then seventh, through six furlongs in the 1 1/16-mile turf contest before angling out and launching her bid.

Her momentum propelled her to a 1¾-length victory, covering the distance in 1:45.56 on a turf course rated as good.

Holidaysatthefarm, ninth in the early running, closed rapidly to take second, a length in front of third-place finisher Niji’s Grand Girl.

Trained by Graham Motion, the win marked the third consecutive victory for Dynamic Holiday as she has moved steadily up the class ladder.

After a nose win in her fourth career start, a maiden special weight race at Keeneland Race Course on October 22, she opened this year’s campaign with an identical margin of victory in the Tropical Park Oaks at Calder Race Course.

Out of the Dynaformer mare Dynamic Cat, Pennsylvania-bred Dynamic Holiday increased her earnings to $142,575 with her third win from six career starts.{jcomments on}
