Erasmo Tranquilino

Leigh Delacour asked me to forward the following:

As you know we are stabled at Fair Hill in the spring, summer and fall racing seasons while at Tampa for the winter, and have a talented and valuable crew that follows our operation.

Over the weekend Erasmo Tranquilino, one of our exercise riders (pictured above galloping at FHTC last fall)), was a passenger in an accident and experienced a brain bleed and subseqsuent cranial swelling.  He is in a coma.  Erasmo was with us and playing with our infant son at the races an hour before the incident.  Erasmo is a kid who goes unnoticed because he is quiet and kind and rides VERY well.  He has been on the most difficult set list in our barn for 3 years and he gets hurt like this…it can happen to anyone anytime.

We have organized a tax deductable fund through the Tampa Champlaincy to benefit Erasmo.  Checks specifying the Erasmo Tranquilino Fund can be mailed to Tampa Bay Downs attn The Chaplaincy Office 11225 Racetrack Road, Tampa, FL 33626.  To receive a letter for a tax deduction at the end of 2013, please include a return address.

If you could forward this to our community in the case that some feel moved to donate, it would be appreciated.

Warmest Regards
