Erika hotwalked Gala Spinaway when he was in training with Bernie Bond and Graham back in the early 90’s. She came to visit today and had a wonderful time. She came with her husband and three adorable daughters. Gala hasn’t had so much attention in ages. She scratched him where he remembered he liked being scratched – now I know! When people come to see Blackie, Gala is next door and gets second hand attention. Today he was the main man!! As Erika says, how often do you catch up with one of your favorites years after he’s retired..

P.S. Erika’s husband John told me when he was introduced to Gala by Erika while in training she said how sweet he was – just before he grabbed his cuff and ripped it off his sleeve!
