Evan Harlan Leads The Way in Maiden-Breaker

To paraphrase NYRA on-air analyst Anthony Stabile, “A set of blinkers, Joel Rosario, and Evan Harlan goes wire to wire on the turf course here at Belmont at the Big A.”

The official chart goes into a bit more detail, but Stabile hit the nail squarely on the head. Making his fifth start, the 3-year-old gelding by Temple City broke his maiden going 1 1/16 miles on the grass after finishing second in his last three outings.

Owned by Jay Em Ess Racing Stable, co-breeder Needle In A Haystack LLC and partners, Evan Harlan has familiar ties to Herringswell. His dam, Five Each Way (by Bullet Train (GB) – also a former Herringswell trainee – is half-sister to multiple Grade 1 winner Miss Temple City, whom Graham trained throughout her very successful career.

Congratulations to his ownership group on today’s terrific win!
