Figlio De Re

What a difference a surface makes.  Figlio made his first start on the grass and really was not interested!  His second race was on the dirt and he loved it!  First out of the gate, fast fractions in the seven furlong race at Laurel, headed down the stretch, he was not going to be denied as he fought back to get his neck in front at the wire.  He’s out of I’m A Chatterbox who was a multiple Grade 1 winner on the dirt and by the late Galileo whose progeny seem to like the turf.   He is also quite small which takes after Galileo.  It was 50/50 as to what he would prefer I suppose although he’s worked well on both dirt and Tapeta at Fair Hill.  Congratulations to owners Carolyn and Fletcher Gray.

He even got a write up in the Bloodhorse!!
