I said to a few people that it would be lovely if we were first and second in the fifth race at Tampa today. Always difficult to have a favorite to run better than the other when you have two in the race but we did end up being first and second! Scholar Athlete ran a sharp race with Sergeant At Arms a close second. It was Sergeant’s first run in the this country since coming from India and he’d never run over a left-handed course before. He hugged the rail so went the sharpest way around but he seemed to handle it. He was stuck for a bit of room in the stretch but he had a good introduction. Congratulations to both owners, West Point Thoroughbreds for Scholar Athlete and Khushroo Dhunjibhoy and Vispi Patel for Sergeant At Arms.
