West Point Thoroughbreds and Spendthrift Farm had their patience rewarded two-fold yesterday at Churchill Downs during the Breeders Cup meet.  Flying The Flag got sick as a two year old and was given eight months off to recover.  He ran his first race at Laurel a month ago and although he ran greenly he showed promise.  Yesterday’s race was on a sloppy track due to the heavy rain Churchill has endured the last couple of days but that didn’t deter his five and a quarter length win!  Congratulations to all.
