Fortune Pearl wins Delaware Oaks (Grade II)

This Mineshaft filly seems to go from strength to strength, from grass to dirt, from being placed in her last race the Grade III Black Eye Susan, to winning the Delaware Oaks (Grade II) today.  Ralphy Meahjohn and his son Greg flew in from Trinidad and Tobago and were joined by Crestwood Farm manager Marc McClean (she was bred on their farm), so a wonderful reunion for everyone.  Congratulations to all.  This was also a big win for young jockey Trevor McCarthy, who is also going from strength to strength!

Concise also deserves a very creditable mention as she was second in the Grade III Robert G. Dick Memorial earlier in the day.
