In her first start as a 6-year-old, GIMME A NOTHER (SAF) left zero doubt that she was razor-sharp off the layoff with a commanding win in the Eatontown Stakes-G3 at Monmouth Park. A multiple Grade 1 winner in her native South Africa, she was coming off a win in her last start, the John C. Mabee Stakes-G2 at Del Mar last September 6.
Officially, “Gimme A Nother (SAF) settled early on to stalk the pacesetter, bid two wide on the far turn, took over, responded when roused at the top of the lane, finished willingly, drew clear and was ridden out.” Visually, she took off like an absolute rocket when Jorge Ruiz asked, hitting the wire 3-1/2 lengths the better of Whiskey Decision.
