I’m way behind

I was over at the Fair Hill International visiting one of our retirees, Kilbeggan.  He is a 3/4 brother (I think) to Bellamy Road but wasn’t as talented so is now eventing with his new owner Hillary Irwin, granddaughter of Mrs. Cotter who bred Bellamy Road.  He’s doing the 5 year old series there.  Graham’s brother Andrew stopped by to see a horse he owns and told me Quadrivium had won at Keeneland too!  First try on the dirt as he came from Ireland.  Then the 1 1/2 mile Sycamore Stakes (Grade III) was starting so we all crowded round to watch it on his phone.  Holiday Star and Rosie Napravnik stole the show by Rosie riding a really smart race on the rain-softened ground.  This was Holiday Star’s first Stake win.  Terrific day with four runners and four winners so congratulations to Flaxman Holdings and George Strawbridge, Jr., for the last two winners.
