Irish Strait Wins Red Bank Stakes (Grade 3)

He is a half brother to Irish War Cry by English Channel and he much prefers the grass surface than his brother’s dirt preference.   In fact he did have a try on the dirt after Irish War Cry started running well on the dirt but ‘yuk’, didn’t like it!  He did win a dirt race against turf horses though when it was off the grass but his best races have definitely been on the green stuff.  He has previously been Stakes placed and today at the age of five (Mrs. de Tomaso always said the family improves with age), he won his first Stake, the Grade 3 Red Bank Stakes at Monmouth.  Mrs. de Tomaso is in Italy so her sister Hope Jones represented her.  Congratulations to them and to this very talented family.
