Irish War Cry Wins Marylander Stakes

Running for just the second time, in a Stake against horses who had had a few races under their belts, Irish War Cry was rather more unsettled than his first race, giving Feargal Lynch a hard time keeping him from running off.  Fortunately Feargal did a good job.  He was then challenged by Stakes winning O Dionysus so had to dig in during their battle to the wire.  He did that too and is now a Stakes winner.  Both horses were ten lengths in front of the third horse.  Congratulations to Isabelle de Tomaso who although could not be there herself sent a good representation to Laurel this afternoon.  Congratulations to her as she is also the breeder.
