King Of Egypt

First time starter King Of Egypt did not disappoint yesterday on the grass at Laurel.  He’s from the first crop of American Pharoah, quite a few of which surprising (or not) have taken well to the grass and the way he’s worked on the Fair Hill Tapeta made sense to make this the first surface to try in a race.  He’s from Alex Campbell, Jr.s good race family of which we have been fortunate enough to have had, and still have – all very talented.  Congratulations to him and to his son Zandy who was on hand to greet him into the winners circle.
