Long Island Handicap for Si Que Es Buena

The Grade 3 Long Island Handicap was Si Que Es Buena’s first foray into American racing this time last year.  She ran a creditable fourth before going on a roll to win a couple of Stakes at Gulfstream last winter.  After having time off she has come back in great form finishing fourth in the Grade 1 E.P. Taylor at Woodbine last month and with a very gutsy ride today by Joel Rosario to avoid a bottle neck she won.  Congratulations to owner Takaya Shimakawa in Japan.

Si Que Es Buena Rallies To Take Long Island Stakes

Down at Gulfstream we were third (pipped by a nose for second) with our first runner of the meet, Lucky Jingle in the Wait A While Stakes.

Our second runner of the meet Irish Mias was second in the Pulpit Stakes.
