It was a perfect day to have your picture taken, and MARIAN CROSS (GB) did just that after celebrating her first career win at Delaware Park. Entered in a five-furlong turf sprint, she had Jorge Ruiz in the saddle and thus went off as the heavy favorite in the field of eight fillies.

Notice Me Too took the early lead and looked poised to steal the race, but Jorge’s ideally-timed skim up the rail gave Marian Cross (GB) the perfect opportunity to get to the wire first. And she looked quite keen on the gallop out! She was showered with praise by Jorge (as usual), and met by Graham and assistant Anne Sinchak in the winner’s circle where both showed their apprecation as well.
