Mean Mary Fourth In A Row

Yesterday she won her fifth race out of seven starts, fourth in a row, to take the Grade 2 New York Stakes by five and a half lengths, leading every step of the way, which is exactly what she likes to do.  This was her easiest victory it seemed and she’s won from one mile and one sixteenth to one mile and a half so she’s pretty adaptable.  This was her first Grade 2 success.  Congratulations to Alex G. Campbell, Jr. and musn’t forget his namesake, secretary Mean Mary Venezie!
