If the photo finish hadn’t gone against us the name of the winner would have been amusing!  He is called Daddy Nose Best and he literally beat Lucky Chappy by a flared nostril in the El Camino Real Derby (Grade III) at Golden Gate yesterday.  Chappy had to work hardest of anyone in the race as he didn’t break too well, had to circle the field and ended up in a stretch duel with the eventual winner.  Tough loss but a good race.{jcomments on}
