Regal Kingdom Takes The Long Way Home

He joined us here at Herringswell at the beginning of April, and today REGAL KINGDOM earned his first win for Graham in a 1 1/2 mile route on firm turf at Delaware Park.

He broke his maiden on February 23 at Fair Grounds and followed that up with another win stepping up to allowance company there on March 26 for former trainer Ron Faucheaux.

Per today’s chart, “Regal Kingdom raced off the pace with a ground saving trip, moved up along the rail entering the stretch, split rivals in the two path nearing the sixteenth marker, closed willingly and was going best late for the win.” Kevin Gomez had the mount, and that win gave him his third on the card.

Bred in Louisiana by Clear Creek Stud LLC and Warren J. Harang, Regal Kingdom is a 3-year-old colt by Animal Kingdom out of the unraced Meadowlake mare Starinthemeadow. Naturally, we love having AK’s offspring in the barn, and it’s always special when they get to the winner’s circle.

Congratulations to owners Luke Bourque and Jacques Dupuis Jr.!
