Sammy Jo Shows Up

We should hang one of those “I Love New York” signs on her stall. No Show Sammy Jo (GB) has made all three of her career starts at Belmont Park. Coming back today after an 11-month layoff, she earned win number two at the Belmont At The Big A meet at Aqueduct.

She had the services of Flavien Prat in this one mile contest on the grass. She was “taken in hand early and unhurried in the two to three path, began to advance while let out in the three path on the final turn, rallied outside in upper stretch and closed strongly to get up in the final sixteenth.”

The 4-year-old was bred in Great Britain by Fittocks Stud and St. Alban’s Bloodstock Ltd. By popular sire Lope de Vega (IRE), she is out of Shomaria (FR), by Exceed and Excel (AUS). No Show Sammy Jo (GB) was purchased from the 2021 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for $214,611 by owners Bridlewood Farm and Madaket Stables LLC. Congrats to all on today’s victory!
