Script Writes a Winning One at Keeneland

There was a brief moment of hesitation in the paddock, but once on track, Stone Farm’s homebred SCRIPT was all business at Keeneland today.

The 3-year-old dark bay colt by Algorithms from the First Samurai mare Dilly was returning from an 8-month layoff in today’s one mile allowance on the turf and was ridden by Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez. Early leader Two Birds opened up 5 lengths on the field down the backstretch, with Script comfortably mid-pack on the rail. Coming into the lane, Johnny unleashed one of his master-class stretch drives, swinging out to the 3-4 path to give Script clear sailing at the leaders. They levelled up at the 1/16th pole and got to the wire a neck in front of second-place finisher Baj.

Graham was on hand for the win and was joined in the winner’s circle by the very happy Arthur Hancock and his family. Congratulations to them!
