Shahroze Gets First Stake Win

Royally bred by HH The Aga Khan, Shahroze got cut off at the break and settled for last place most of the way around in the one mile and a half miles of the Grade 3 Singspiel Stakes at Woodbine.  No worries though as this gelding by Holy Roman Emporer can switch off and needed every bit of today’s distance.  Alan Garcia didn’t panic, let him bowl along behind the rest of the field, pulled wide on the turn and quickened well to win nicely, still going strong!  He apparently was five one hundredths of a second off the track record set in 1994.   Congratulations to Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and Head Of Plains.
