Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies’ Turf champion SHARING returns to the races this Saturday, May 23, in the $100,000 Tepin Stakes going a mile on the grass at Churchill Downs. Owned by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and Gainesway Stable, this will be the much-anticipated sophomore debut of the daughter of Speightstown and Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf winner Shared Account.
“We had her down in Florida, and we thought it was best to get her back up north in her home headquarters at Fair Hill with Graham,” Aron Wellman of Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners told BloodHorse. “She’s been training exceptionally well this past month since Graham has gotten her into a groove. We’re looking to get a good race out of her, shake the dust off and get her competitive juices flowing again.”
Currently the morning line co-favorite at 3/1, Sharing drew post 9 in the 14-horse field. Manuel Franco, aboard Sharing for her Breeders’ Cup win, will again be in the irons on Saturday. Post time is 4:40 p.m. EDST, and the race can be seen on Fox Sports 1 and TVG.
