This weekend, Herringswell Stables will send out the stakes winning fillies Gypsy’s Warning and Check the Label in the Grade I Beverly D and Grade II Lake Placid respectively. The duo have compiled four stakes victories in 2010.
{jcomments on}Team Valor and Green Lantern Stables’ Gypsy’s Warning will make her third start in North America when she heads to the gate in the $750,000 Beverly D at Arlington Park on Saturday. In her latest, the Mongon 5-year-old finished fifth, beaten less than two lengths in the Grade II Dance Smartly at Woodbine. The Beverly D is a wide-open affair of competitive fillies and mares. The Beverly D field goes as follows; Treat Gently, Romacaca, Rainbow View, Eclaire de Lune, Ave, Hot Cha Cha, Acoma, Pachattack, Biased and Gypsy’s Warning. The elusive Grade I for fillies and mares shares the stage with the Grade I Arlington Million on the Chicago racetrack’s premier day.
Gypsy’s Warning will arrive in Saratoga Tuesday afternoon before her flight Wednesday morning for her tilt in the Beverly D.
Lael Stables’ Check The Label plans to take her three-race-winning-streak into the Grade II $150,000 Lake Placid on Sunday August 22. The Stormin Fever 3-year-old filly captured the Grade III Appalachian Stakes, G II Sands Point and the G III Virginia Oaks consecutively. Check the Label is expected to face a field that is expected to include It’s Tea Time and No Explaining, among others.
Check the Label will be ridden by Ramon Dominguez for the third consecutive time.
