Street Fashion

A winner!!  Little bit over the top perhaps but with 12 seconds this year before today it’s seems a bit of a novelty!  That’s a lot of seconds.  We also had 4 more today which brings the tally to 16!

Street Fashion was running for us for the first time and he appreciated the Tapeta surface at Golden Gate, which is the last remaining synthetic surface in California.  Although a lot of the synthetic surfaces have been replaced, the Tapeta surface has not, which speaks for itself.    Congratulations to Mr. Strawbridge for his winner on one of the best surfaces in the country.

Our other seconds today included two Graded Stakes.  Rafting who was running for the first time since last November ran a terrific race in the Sam F. Davis (Grade III) at Tampa Bay, and Tusk really jumped up at Golden Gate to finish second in the Grade III El Camino Real Derby.  Kasseopia, after a very sluggish start finished third.  He was obviously the best horse in the race but after a start like that in a Graded Stake, it was hard to overcome.

Can’thelpbelieving, fondly known as Fat Boy had not run since last July and he ran fantastically to finish second in his race at Gulfstream.
