Tacticus came to us at the beginning of June to run in a Stake at Belmont.  He came from Lady Cecil in England and the idea was to run him on the dirt.  He wasn’t quite right before the race so he was scratched, had time to recuperate from his overseas trip and ran fourth in his first start on dirt at Belmont.  He showed he liked the surface so was entered in the Birdstone Stakes today at Saratoga over 1-3/4 miles.  He liked the surface, he liked the distance and won nicely.  Question now is how do you follow that?!  Pity they don’t have the Breeders Cup Marathon on the card still.  Congratulations to owner and breeder Flaxman Holdings.
