How long have you worked for Herringswell Stables? Since March, 2020.
How did you become involved with horses? I didn’t come from a horse family at all growing up in the New Jersey suburbs, but I started following horse racing after seeing War Emblem win the 2002 Kentucky Derby. After that I took out a subscription to BloodHorse Magazine and started taking riding lessons.
What was your first racing-related job? I was a hotwalker for Mike Trombetta at Fair Hill.
What is your favorite racing memory? As a fan, seeing Rachel Alexandra’s Haskell win live at Monmouth Park was one of the most breathtaking performances I’d ever seen. However, as a rider, no one particular memory stands out, as it’s always exciting and incredibly gratifying to see a horse I’ve worked with perform well.
