This week’s Throwback Thursday features Miss Lombardi, shown below winning the 2008 Maryland Million Ladies’ Stakes at Laurel Park.  The daughter of Unbridled Jet – Chemise by Secret Hello was owned throughout her career by Robert and Linda Newton who gave her to Graham upon her retirement.  

Miss Lombardi’s first foal, 3-year-old Mount Coronet (by Cowboy Cal) is currently in the barn of trainer Hamilton Smith.  Her second foal, a 2012 filly by Bullsbay, is in training at Elloree Training Center in South Carolina.  Barren for 2013, Miss Lombardi will be bred to Kentucky Derby and Dubai World Cup winner Animal Kingdom this year.
