Tiz A Chance

After not running since December Tiz A Chance finally made the winners circle after five previous tries.  He ran on the turf at Belmont and he and the horse just in front of him went pretty fast fractions for the distance of seven furlongs, with Tiz A Chance pulling away to win by three and a quarter lengths.  Congratulations to owner George Strawbridge.

An honorable mention must go to Ring Weekend who ran his heart out at Pimlico yesterday in the Grade 2 Dixie, just to be beaten on the wire.  If he’d had more of a ground saving trip I’m sure he would have held on.  He’s been off for fourteen months with a deep foot abcess so it’s nice to see he’s still got it!

Such a wonderful, gutsy performance by Ring Weekend!
