TOBY’S CORNER away in good order, was quickly guided over to the inside, sat there with the rider applying a firm grip on the reins, taking the inside route, was forced to remain on hold, buried behind and amongst rivals on the far turn, moved up a bit leaving the five-sixteenths pole, but forced to pause once again as the field approached the quarter pole, availed of the opportunity to angle out sharply in upper stretch for racing clearance, commenced to rally willingly once called upon, altered course outward just past the three-sixteenths pole for optimal racing clearance, kicked in with good energy once the maneuver was completed, forged on ahead, cutting the gap with every stride, split rivals while assuming command at the sixteenth pole then dug in gamely to prevail.{jcomments on}
