Trikari at a BIG Price!

One of our exercise riders has been touting him ever since he came to the barn in June, and wow did TRIKARI live up to that praise today! Going off at 25-1, he broke his maiden in his second start, a 1 1/16 mile maiden special on Gulfstream’s all weather surface. He certainly rewarded his backers, paying $55.60 – $21.60 – $12.00.

It was a very professional effort from the 2-year-old bay colt by Oscar Performance, ridden today by Jorge Ruiz. He had the lead by the first call and battled gamely when challenged by Mystic Performance at the half-mile pole, briefly relinquishing the lead by a head. That pair duked it out the rest of the way with Trikari taking advantage at the top of the stretch and finishing a strong 1 1/4 lengths in front.

We always say it’s very special for us when the offspring of former Herringswell trainees win, and today we’re celebrating this son of multiple stakes winner Dynamic Holiday (Harlan’s Holiday – Dynamic Cat by Dynaformer). Owned by Augustin Stables, Dynamic Holiday strung together three straight stakes wins at the beginning of her 3-year-old season in 2011: the Tropical Park Oaks, Florida Oaks and the Herecomesthebride Stakes-G3. Later that summer, she was third in the Woodford Reserve Lake Placid Stakes-G2 at Saratoga.

Trikari was bred in Kentucky by Michael A. Slezak and Amy Boll. He was purchased at the OBS October Yearling Sale in 2022 by Amerman Racing for $27,500. Congrats to all on today’s impressive win!
