Turnout and Trevor

Mr. Joseph V. Shields’ 4-year-old filly Turnout broke her maiden at Laurel Park today in her fifth lifetime start.  She was ridden again this afternoon by Trevor McCarthy, who has piloted the homebred daughter of Trippi in all of her races.  Trevor, son of former jockey Mike McCarthy, had a big day at Laurel with three wins on the card, including his first stake win in the John B. Campbell Handicap.  Turnout was Trevor’s first winner for Herringswell.
