Brereton C. Jones’ homebred Silver Reunion put her front-running proclivities on display Saturday as she set all the pace to capture the $125,000 Endeavour Stakes (G3) at Tampa Bay Downs.

The race also capped a sweep of the three graded stakes carded for Festival Preview Day by 2010 Eclipse Award-winning jockey Ramon Dominguez, who captured the Florida Oaks (G3) aboard Dynamic Holiday and the Sam F. Davis Stakes (G3) with an impressive performance by Brethren prior to wrapping up his stakes triple aboard Silver Reunion.

Trained by Graham Motion, who also conditions Dynamic Holiday, Silver Reunion won her first graded stakes in the Endeavour after she was caught at the wire by Dynaslew in her previous start in the Ballston Spa Stakes (G2) at Saratoga Race Course on August 28.

Although C. S. Silk was closing steadily on Silver Reunion in deep stretch, the lightly raced five-year-old Harlan’s Holidaymare had enough left in the tank to emerge victorious by a half-length as the 2-to-1 favorite.

Silver Reunion covered 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.98 on a turf course rated as good.

Out of the Grade 2-winning Silver Hawk mare Silver Comic, Kentucky-bred Silver Reunion increased her earnings to $254,403 with her fifth victory from ten lifetime starts.{jcomments on}
