Sweet Tiger Ride won her first Graded Stake today when winning the Grade 3 Pin Oak Valley View. Unfortunately, since it was taken off the turf onto the main track the Grade 3 status was removed. The second horse was a Grade 1 winner on the dirt so it seemed a little unfair but they are the rules. Sponsored by our long time owners Pin Oak Stud, Graham usually tries to have a runner so it was lovely to win it as well. The race was taken off the turf due to the rain but having won the Ta Wee Stakes at Indiana when it was taken off the turf, ending up a sloppy track, the switch certainly wasn’t a problem for her. Many congratulations to the up and coming Tiger Ride owned and bred by Dixiana Farms who were of course on hand to greet their winner.
Are the owners’ trophies ‘downgraded’ as well? Same for purse money?
Good question. Everything is the same except the Graded Status.
