Inclement weather cancelled racing at the boutique all-turf Kentucky Downs meet yesterday, but the sun came out in time to shine on VERGARA in the winner’s circle for the $500,000 Exacta Systems Dueling Grounds Oaks this afternoon. Joel Rosario made the trip to Franklin, KY to ride Gary Broad/Walmac Farm’s 3-year-old daughter of Noble Mission (GB) out of the Street Cry (IRE) mare Figure of Beauty.

This was Vergara’s third career win and her second stakes victory; she won Aqueduct’s Tepin Stakes last November. Today’s score brings her lifetime earnings up to $425,933.  Follow the link below to watch the race:
