VRONTI (GB) earned her first win in her second start here in North America on February 25. She came to us last October after four career outings in Great Britain.

She debuted at Ffos Las Racecourse in Wales last July 9. Finishing 4th in that maiden weight for age, she made three subsequent starts at Haydock Park, Kempton Park and Goodwood, finishing second each time. Her ground-saving maiden special score at Tampa Bay Downs was 1 1/16 miles on the firm turf; she was piloted by Charlie Marquez.

Named for a tiny village in the Western Macedonia region of Greece, Vronti is a homebred for Mr. Andrew Stone’s St. Alban’s Bloodstock LLC. Now 4, she is by Night of Thunder (IRE) out of Nakuti (IRE), by Mastercraftsman (IRE). Keen observers will recall that Nakuti was also trained by Graham. She finished third in the Dance Smartly Stakes-G2 at Woodbine in 2016.
